Decades of research have dramatically increased scientists' understanding of cancer, leading to major improvements in cancer management in humans. Unfortunately, the field of veterinary oncology has not experienced similar level of activity and growth, despite the fact that half of our beloved companions will develop cancer during their lifetime. Furthermore, most pet owners do not have access to an easily available resource that would increase their awareness about a wide range of topics relating to their pet's cancer management.
Pet Cancer Center was founded to address the critical need in promoting cancer awareness among pet owners, increase animals' participation in clinical trials and increase our scientific knowledge by funding humane clinical trials for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of pet cancer. We hope that you will be able to find valuable cancer-related information, comprehensive descriptions of treatment options for specific cancer types, including clinical trials.
