| Board-Certified Veterinary Oncologists: Ravi S Dhaliwal, DVM, DACVIM (Oncology) Dr. Dhaliwal is a 1986 graduate of the Punjab Agricultural University in Ludhiana, India and is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine - Speciality of Oncology. He completed his residency in clinical oncology and MS at the Universtiy of Illinois in 1998. Dr. Dhaliwal's special interest is in clinical oncology and hematology. Since 1995, Dr. Dhaliwal has been the Staff Oncologist for VCA All-Care Animal Referral Center. Barbara E. Kitchell, DVM, PhD, DACVIM (Oncology) Dr. Barbara Kitchell is a 1979 graduate of Purdue University in veterinary medicine. She completed an internship in small animal medicine at the University of Minnesota in 1980. She furthered her studies at the University of California, Davis, completing a residency in internal medicine and oncology in 1985 and receiving a PhD in Comparative Pathology with an emphasis in cancer biology in 1994. Her special interests in medicine include comparative oncology and investigational therapeutics. Dr. Kitchell is board certified through the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in Oncology. She serves as the President Elect of the Veterinary Cancer Society, as well as maintaining affiliations with several veterinary medical and cancer research groups. In addition to her duties as an oncology specialist at VCA All-Care Animal Referral Center, she serves as the director of the Center for Comparative Oncology at Michigan State University Susan LaRue, DVM, PhD, ACVS, DACVR (Radiation Oncology) Dr. Susan LaRue currently serves as an Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology at Colorado State University as well as a radiation oncologist at VCA All-Care Animal Referral Center. After studying zoology at the University of Maryland, she completed her DVM at the University of Georgia in 1977. She furthered her studies with a Master's degree in clinical sciences and a PhD in radiological health sciences, both from Colorado State University. She was board certified by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 1988 and board certified in Radiation Oncology in 1994. |
