Board-Certified Veterinary Oncologists: Shawna Greene, DVM Diplomate American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Oncology) Dr. Greene received her DVM from Iowa State University in 2003 and completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at VCA Veterinary Specialists of Northern Colorado. She then completed a residency in medical oncology and obtained her master's degree at Purdue University in 2007. Dr. Greene became board certified in 2008. Dr. Greene performs diagnosis and staging of all cancer types, including endoscopy, rhinoscopy, cytoscopy and tumor biopsies. She also provides the latest in treatment options for cancer patients, including chemotherapy, tumor vaccines, targeted therapy and palliative therapy. Jayme Looper, DVM Diplomate American College of Veterinary Radiology (Radiation Oncology) Dr. Looper received her DVM from Louisiana State University in 1997 and completed a one-year rotating internship at the University of Florida in 1998. Dr. Looper spent four years in private practice in Denver, Colorado. Following this experience, Dr. Looper went on to complete a residency in radiation oncology from North Carolina State University and received board certification in September 2004. Dr. Looper offers radiation treatment for companion animal tumors and palliative treatment for cancer pain. Dr. Looper is an adjunct professor at the University of Illinois. |
