Services include: The Purdue Oncology service will see dogs and cats with any cancer. There is a special interest in canine urinary, bladder cancer, canine bone cancer, and canine prostate cancer. Diagnostic tools such as endoscope, cystoscopy, CT, and MRI are available as well as treatment modalities such as chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and surgery. The Oncology Service generally sees new cases, rechecks, and oncologist emergencies Monday-Thursday 8-5, with some appointments on Fridays, as well as some limited after-hours services in special, pre-arranged circumstances. Emergencies before 8 or after 5 are taken by veterinary interns, and then transferred to oncology. |
